The BSPN Mentoring Program

A call to action.

A commitment to each other.

A collective rise.

In a field where Black professionals are underrepresented, mentorship serves as a strategy to combat systemic barriers and foster empowerment. The BSPN Mentoring Program is more than an initiative – it is activism. It is collective brilliance. It is how we honor the sacrifices of those before us and build a future where Black school psychologists thrive – boldly and unapologetically.

Applications are Now Open for Mentors & Mentees.

Step into your legacy.

About the Program

Grounded in frameworks that reflect collective responsibility and purpose, the BSPN Mentoring Program will move beyond traditional mentoring models. Using intentional matching protocols, we aim to:

  • Match mentees with mentor who see, honor, and nurture their potential

  • Foster a strengthened sense of community

  • Empower and retain Black School Psychologists

  • Transform mentorship into communal uplift and collective action

How It Works

Using intentional matching protocols, mentors and mentees will be paired based on shared goals and aspirations, cultural and personal identity alignment, career stage compatibility, specializations and interests, and communication style preferences.

Whether you are seeking guidance or ready to guide, your participation strengthens our collective future. We are looking for passionate mentees and committed mentors who are ready to build and uplift.

Applications are due June 20, 2025
