THE NETWORK'S VISION + MISSION
The vision of the Black School Psychologists Network is to support, elevate, and advance the work of Black School Psychologists.
The mission is to co-create a powerful network of Black School Psychologists nationwide. The network will be a safe place where Black School Psychologists feel supported and encouraged. In addition, provide culturally responsive professional development and resources to enhance the work and well-being of Black School Psychologists, including graduate students.
Simply put, the mission is to ensure we flourish in the field.
BSPSUMMIT 2027
The 5th Annual Black School Psych Summit in Baltimore, Maryland, brings together researchers, practitioners, graduate students, and advocates committed to advancing the field of school psychology through scholarship, innovation, and community engagement. This year's theme, "The Comeback: Elevating Our Voices, Expanding Our Vision," highlights the importance of amplifying Black voices, celebrating resilience, and envisioning new possibilities for the future of school psychology.
The summit provides an opportunity for presenters to showcase research, evidence-based practices, and community-centered approaches that support the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students and families. Organizers are seeking presentations that align with the conference theme and contribute to meaningful conversations about equity, representation, leadership, advocacy, and the continued growth of Black school psychologists and the communities they serve.
This event offers a valuable platform to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and inspire innovative solutions that expand the impact of school psychology within schools and communities.
